Overview
As a pivotal part of the North America (NA) Commercial Support Training team, the Sales Trainer is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of a strategic, cross-functional sales training plans. This role directly contributes to the enhancement of sales performance and productivity, supporting both internal sales staff and distributor partners within the NA Commercial Sales segment. With a focus on adult learning methodologies and cutting-edge training delivery, the Sales Trainer ensures that our team is equipped to meet the demands of the market and to achieve sales excellence.
Responsibilities
- Identify sales training needs and select the most efficient training methods and modalities for delivery (virtual online training, webinars, in-person sessions, etc.)
- Utilize adult learning methodologies to ensure content comprehension and retention
- Lead and manage training projects with cross-functional team members within the organization
- Adapt learning techniques to suit different individual learning styles and preferences
- Develop and conduct train-the-trainer sessions, materials, and resources
- Organize training presentation logistics, including equipment and facilities setup
- Drive marketing initiatives for training programs to facilitate registration and participation
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies to enhance the training experience
- Report on the usage, evaluation, and effectiveness of training initiatives to management
- Provide training for new product releases and updates, both internally and to distributor partners
- Lead interactive training activities, including discussions, workshops, role-plays, and provide individual and team coaching
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key partners to create company-specific training content
- Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, assessments, and program evaluations
- Assess training effectiveness and ROI by analyzing behavior changes and key performance indicators post-training
Qualifications
Experience and Education :
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and educationMinimum 5 years’ experience as a commercial product salespersonAt least 2 years in a dedicated sales training capacitySkills and Abilities :
Systems-proficient; particularly with MS Office products, video recording tools, learning management systems, and Goto WebinarMastery in creating and delivering compelling in-person learning presentationsDeep understanding of learning methodologies and sales training best practicesStrong technical writing skills for developing educational contentKnowledge of the latest trends in enablement technologies, tactics, and methodologiesProficient in transferring sales techniques to diverse products and customer scenariosSolid organizational skills : Ability to self-manage workload; able handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting tight deadlinesExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to speak in front of large audiences; communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization and external stakeholdersAbility to translate technical information into engaging, compelling learning material; Present ideas in business and user-friendly languageTravel :
