About the Role

This senior-level position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in complex development and fundraising, a proven track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals, and the ability to autonomously develop and execute long-term strategies for donor acquisition, cultivation, and retention. The role involves direct management of a donor portfolio, working closely with Executive Directors and regional advisory board members, and may include mentoring or managing other development staff. Applicants for the Senior Managing Director role at the company should be adept at building and maintaining relationships, particularly with executive-level donors and partners. The position demands an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a subject-matter expert in fundraising and development, and the ability to influence and tailor approaches to diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's degree or fundraising certification, and a strong understanding of current trends in philanthropy.
