Posting Information Posting Number Advertised Title CNA Instructor and Program Coordinator Campus Location Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number Category Temporary Employees Department UofM Global Position Summary Professional and Continuing Education(PACE) at the University of Memphis is in search of part-time CNA Instructor and Program Coordinator for a 10-week, noncredit training program to prepare students for the Certified Nursing Assistant Exam. Selected candidates must agree to and pass a criminal background check to be employed. Responsibilities : Attend meetings as required.

Supervise CNA clinical experiences.

Be prompt and on time according to schedule.Adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Work as a team for the best delivery of student services.

Provide lecture and hands-on instruction for CNA students.Manage supplies and inventory in a fiscally responsible way.Collaborate with other professional members of the interdisciplinary team including employer partner.

Complete all required paperwork, including but not limited to attendance records, grade sheets, and mid and end of semester reports. Minimum Position Qualifications Program Coordinator applicants must provide credentials of Registered Nurse License number with expiration date and proof of long-term care experience. The Program Coordinator MUST be a RN with at least 2 years’ experience as a RN. This experience should include 1 year experience working as a RN in a nursing home.

Program Instructor applicants must provide credentials plus proof of one of the following : Experience teaching adults OR Experience supervising CNAs OR Completion of Train-the-Trainer Class. Special Conditions The ideal candidate will serve in both roles (Instructor and Program Coordinator), and the contract rate for one person fulfilling both roles is $5,000 per 10-week cohort. Contract rate and responsibilities split between two individuals will be adjusted accordingly.
