Registered Nurse I - Acute Med Surg Care Unit

Summary :

Join our team as a Registered Nurse I, where you will play a vital role in patient assessment, care planning, and delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including older adolescents, young adults, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. This position may involve directing LVN / LPNs, nursing assistants, and other clinical staff, and may also include responsibilities as a charge nurse.

Responsibilities :

• Patient Care Planning :
• Develop and update comprehensive nursing care plans that address all patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members during initial team conferences and make necessary adjustments as patient conditions change.
• Patient Care Provision :
• Implement patient care plans effectively, prioritizing based on patient acuity.
• Deliver safe and therapeutic care while ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures.
• Patient Care Evaluation :
• Evaluate patient responses and progress towards goals, making necessary adjustments weekly.
• Document nursing progress notes and flow sheets daily.
• Teaching :
• Identify patient education needs and adapt teaching resources accordingly.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures and health conditions to patients and families.
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor to new staff and healthcare students.
• Patient Care Communication :
• Maintain accurate and confidential reporting of patient information.
• Encourage open communication among care team members and provide constructive feedback.
