Cost Accountant

Our client is a multi-million dollar manufacturing organization that has been rapidly growing over the last few years. Due to the expansion they are looking to bring on a strong Cost Accountant to their organization to standardize cost methodologies and grow with the business.

Job Description

Develop and maintain product cost models, ensuring accurate standard cost updates.

Analyze production costs, material usage, and overhead allocations to identify improvement opportunities.

Manage inventory valuation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.

Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate reporting and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare detailed cost reports to support month-end and year-end closing.

Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis related to cost and inventory performance.

Implement and improve internal controls for cost accounting and inventory processes.

Provide actionable insights to leadership for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar environment.

Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of GAAP and costing principles.

Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
