Traveling Maintenance Foreman
Salt Lake City, UT
SUMMARY
Kilgore, a Summit Material company, is looking for a traveling maintenance foreman. This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs of HMA equipment with or without direction from the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic.
- Recognizing malfunctioning equipment and diagnosing problems
- Dismantling, cleaning, fabricating, repairing, replacing, lay out, installing, maintaining, assembling, adjusting, and lubricating all types of mechanical, plumbing and piping equipment
- Working in the field, operating mobile, stationary and other plant equipment to facilitate installation & repair work; perform rigging; driving mobile equipment.
- Maintain appropriate service and repair records and reports
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Order parts, and equipment
- Adhere to and site-wide support Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality compliance standards.
- Industrial mechanical craftsman experience or Millwright Certification
- Pump rebuild and alignment experience
- Hydraulic experience
- Pipefitting experience
- Welding Skills
- installation, examine, inspect, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, facilities, pipe, and electrical systems.
- Cycle equipment or systems to ensure safe and correct operations, to be able to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Set up and safely operate machine tools such, grinders, drill press, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
- Maintain maintenance areas in a clean and orderly fashion; keep work area clean at all times.
- Operate a forklift and other heavy machinery whenever applicable after certification.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical. electrical, and software problems on machines and accessories.
- Demonstrates the ability to write routine reports, and correspondence internally and externally.
- Strong Problem solving and reasoning skills.
- Strong mathematical skills are a huge asset.
- Strong understanding of machine functions, equipment safety hazards, power sources, stored energy, pinch points.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
