How you get to help us do that in this role

Support the construction of underground water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers with hands-on work and help keep construction sites safe.

What you’ll do

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Facilitate a smooth workflow by providing necessary materials and equipment
• Maintain project integrity with proper assembly and installation of structures - including cutting and assembling pipe, fittings, and accessories
• Prepare groundwork for the installation of underground utilities and ensure stability and longevity by digging, compacting, and backfilling
• Maintain a level and uniform surface for proper drainage and ground conditions by raking, shoveling, grading, and hand mining.
• Minimize the risk of accidents and equipment downtime by safely operating  and maintaining heavy equipment, machinery, and tools
• Ensure precise and accurate workmanship with the use of small tools including chain saws, cut-off saws, impact wrenches, torches, non-powered hand tools, and measuring tools
• Confirm accuracy and compliance with project alignment and grade specifications by measuring materials and grade checking
