What you’ll Do :
Oversee daily operations of two AP teams by managing workload delegation, ensuring SLA compliance, and maintaining effective communication and support across teams. Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor and invoice issues, while coordinating with offshore partners and leading initiatives in training, automation, and process improvement. Support talent management through hiring, performance evaluations, and compliance with SOX controls.
Ensure consistent communication and support to department employeesServe as primary liaison for resolving escalated or complex vendor and invoice issuesEffectively delegate workload across two AP teams to meet all SLAs and processing deadlinesMonitor Esker queues to ensure timely handling and team responsivenessCoordinate with offshore processing team to manage handoffs, maintain quality, and escalate exceptionsOversee training of new and existing employees on department processes, systems, and Esker workflowsEvaluate employee performance in preparation for career development discussions and performance reviewsLead or support initiatives related to automation, process improvement, and reporting analyticsReview and approve timecards and time-off requestsTake appropriate action in addressing performance or conduct concerns in partnership with leadershipAssist in monitoring and enforcing internal controls to ensure SOX-compliant invoice processingReview resumes, screen, and interview potential hiresOther duties and projects as assignedRequirements We Look For :
Minimum of 3 years supervisory or team lead experienceAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredMinimum of 5 years Accounts Payable or related financial operations experienceStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) requiredExperience with Esker or other SaaS-based AP automation platforms strongly preferredAbility to respond professionally and calmly under pressureAttention to detail is a mustQualities that Stir our Souls (and make you stand out) :
Experience with DMSI, P2P, OCR, or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics GP) is a plusExcellent communication and organizational skills with ability to work independently and collaborativelyDemonstrated leadership, team-building, and accountability-driving skills requiredExperience overseeing offshore teams or shared service centers is a plusSRS Perks & Benefits :
