Summary :
As a dedicated Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in providing both routine and complex nursing care. This position requires a high level of clinical competence, allowing you to work independently while being aware of all aspects influencing patient care. You will have the opportunity to set long-range goals and effectively manage clinical contingencies, ensuring optimal care for your patients.
Responsibilities :
- Exemplify the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Deliver nursing care in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, using the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor and assess for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Document comprehensive patient histories, symptoms, medications, and nursing care provided.
- Assess the learning needs of patients, families, and caregivers while providing necessary education and resources.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.Experience :
A minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
BLS certification required.Must possess an RN License in the state of employment or compact.Work Schedule : 7AM - 7PM
