About the Role : As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be a vital member of the healthcare team, delivering high-quality care to patients under the guidance of registered nurses. Your role is crucial in various healthcare environments, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home health agencies, where you will help with daily living activities and provide emotional support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Personal Care : Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs : Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Medication Administration : Aid in the administration of medications as instructed by registered nurses.
- Patient Comfort : Implement comfort measures, such as repositioning patients, applying heat or cold packs, and facilitating range of motion exercises.
- Documentation : Accurately record patient observations, vital signs, and the care provided in medical records.
- Communication : Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare team members.
