High School Teacher

Position Summary :

In collaboration with the High School Program Coordinator, the teacher will work closely with patients, families, the student’s Craig team, and school teams to communicate health and academic needs. The teacher will provide 1 : 1 instruction in the areas of math, science, writing, reading, and social studies, and support students by creating individualized learning plans. Prior to discharge, the teacher will create a school transition plan to support return to school and will follow up, as appropriate.

Position Requirements :

• Licensure / Certification / Registrations : BLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required. Current teacher's license.
• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Education required; Special Education preferred
• Experience : 1–2 years at High School level required, 2–4 years of experience strongly preferred.
• Skills & Abilities : Excellent organizational skills. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently but also collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines while effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities, prioritize appropriately, and manage frequent interruptions. Solid problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and excellent follow-through. Ability to design and implement lesson plans. Commitment to the use of data to drive instruction and raise student achievement. Record of strong communication with students, parents, and community members. Ability to relate to people of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities. Ability to present yourself in a personable and professional manner. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Ability to deal with diverse and confidential information with discretion and good judgment. Tech-literate : Must have strong computer skills to maneuver a variety of learning platforms, be proficient in all Microsoft Office products; interest in current tech / educational trends.

Salary Range : $27.56 / Hour - $39.68 / Hour
