Robson Forensic, a longstanding national forensic expert firm with an excellent reputation in the legal and scientific community, is looking for a School Bus and Student Transportation Expert like you.

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a School Bus and Student Transportation Expert with knowledge of school bus safety laws and regulations and student transportation operations and procedures. The expert will provide investigation, analysis, reports, and testimony when technical and scientific answers are needed to help resolve civil and criminal litigation and insurance claims.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional (ex. retired transportation director / administrator) with direct experience in student transportation safety including the oversight, operation, and maintenance of buses used for carrying schoolchildren; safety procedures for loading, offloading and bus operation; transportation of individuals using wheelchair tiedown occupant restraint systems; hiring, training, evaluation, and certification of drivers; knowledge of traffic laws related to passenger, pedestrian, and bicycle rider safety; and transportation administration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Transportation Management, or a related field.
  • Your School Transportation Specialist certification is preferred.
  • You have 5+ yrs. direct experience in student transportation safety within a school district or transportation company.
  • You have school bus driver experience.
  • You have knowledge / experience in student transportation safety, including loading and unloading of passengers, student monitoring during transit, and incident identification and response.
  • You have knowledge and experience operating lifts and ramps for student access to vehicles, and wheelchair tiedown occupant restraint systems for securing passengers and their assistive devices.
  • You have knowledge of school transportation processes including route development, accident investigation, and school zones related to arrival and dismissal.
  • You have a deep understanding of federal and state regulations governing student transportation.
  • You have developed / implemented transportation contracts & are familiar with bus inspection requirements.
  • You have exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • You can explain complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • You have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • You are willing to travel about 20% on average.
