Job description

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Intermediate knowledge of reading, drawings and specifications.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written & oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours as necessary, and physically able to stand for long periods of time on concrete.
  • Must process basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
  • Must be able and willing to work either 1st or 3rd shift.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand frequently, placing parts on and off of the robot welding machines and into bins.

Responsibilities & Duties :

  • Under the direction of a supervisor and / or experienced welder, responsible for quality parts produced on the TIG and MIG welding machines.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent welding.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance welding and adjusts the machine.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly; perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, you will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    • Education :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prefer to have 2 years of on-the-job experience or trade school equivalent.
