Material Handler

The Material Handler II is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, movement, and storage of materials in the warehouse. This position requires a strong working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and the use of powered industrial trucks (PIT).

The Material Handler II will also assist with documentation, maintain safety standards, and ensure timely fulfillment of internal and external orders. Key Responsibilities :

• Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
• Receive incoming materials and verify against purchase orders or shipping documents
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for outbound shipments
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and location audits
• Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
• Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding material status or issues
• Support special projects or inventory initiatives as needed
• Identify damaged materials and report discrepancies to the supervisor
• Assist in training new employees or lower-level handlers as needed

Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience Forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified Experience with WMS, RF scanners, or basic inventory systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.
