Day to Day Responsibilities :
Developing and / or executing experiment / test plans regarding product performance and reliability
Optimizing and / or maintaining tools and equipment in accordance with the needs of product development and testing
Utilizing manual dexterity to prepare and / or build specimens and device prototypes for testing
Interfacing with the broader S&T organization and business to generate and / or characterize specimens, to interpret or expand test results, and more
Recording, logging and reporting out on observations and test data, and presenting associated conclusions and next steps to customers / stakeholders
Working with others to identify needs and procure items including samples, consumables, new test fixtures or equipment, etc.
Required Skills (These are skills that must possess)
Mechanical aptitude in working with small powered and / or non-powered hand tools, as well as larger test / metrology equipment
Tear-down and post-mortem characterization experience including practical use of optical and SEM microscopy.
Experience working with glove-box and clean-room settings.
Basic computer and data analysis / archiving skills, including familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Office, web-based work request systems, etc.
The ability to maintain an accurate and thorough record of activities performed, including via a laboratory notebook
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration - this is REQUIRED) :
A.A.S. / Two-Year Degree in Mechanical Technology or related field of study
