Strategic Business Intelligence Manager

The Strategic Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing insights that add valuable insight to the SBI team, UNFI's key stakeholders, and the team's recurring / ad-hoc deliverables when determining strategic direction and those decisions can be influenced by external environmental scans. This position will be relied on to regularly monitor the macro-economic landscape, key grocery and retailer trends, understand and analyze customer and category sales data / insights, pro-actively research and comprehend industry-wide strategic priorities utilizing both primary and secondary methodologies, and have the ability to craft seemingly disparate pieces of data into actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities :

• Construct weekly intelligence brief that can include summarizing business, financial, or economic data review for key internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for the creation of earnings briefs that is shared and reviewed with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Leads writing of select First Take earnings briefs on key retailers, suppliers, wholesalers, and other companies and may include business recommendations for action.
• Ensure consistent and effective brand messaging through all areas of communications, presentations, and updates by conducting primary and secondary research.
• Analyzes a so-what market strategy analysis while maintaining consistent quality.
• Support senior leaders with quarterly recaps that will feed into both the weekly brief and broader presentations such as upper senior leaders.
• Develop reporting strategy, advancing the use of data and visualization and identify value-added enhancements or programs to distill, synthesize and share intelligence.
• Collects business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, or purchased sources and is responsible for the integrity of this reporting.
