Job description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and creatively driven Senior Designer with a passion for motion to join their team. This pivotal role will primarily support our growing animation and video initiatives, working across a diverse range of projects from animated explainers to live-action productions. If you're a big-picture thinker with a keen eye for detail and a knack for bringing concepts to life through compelling visuals, we want to talk to you.

What you'll do :

  • Lead Creative Conception : Collaborate with Designers, Producers, and Copywriters to conceptualize, visualize, and build compelling design solutions for animated and live-action video projects.
  • Visual Storytelling & Execution : Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual narratives. This includes :

Developing comprehensive storyboards for both animated explainers and live-action shoots.

  • Creating initial graphic concepts, style frames, and mood boards.
  • Producing high-quality comps and final design deliverables for animation.
  • On-Set Creative Direction : Leverage your experience working on live-action shoots, including on-set creative direction, to ensure visual integrity and alignment with the overall design vision.
  • Rapid Prototyping : Conceptualize and iterate design ideas quickly, often under tight deadlines, delivering effective visuals that maintain the company's quality standards.
  • Collaborative Partnership : Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing design expertise and ensuring seamless integration of visual elements across all project phases.
  • Brand Stewardship : Ensure all design work aligns with client brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries where appropriate.

    • Does this describe you?

  • 6 - 8 years of professional design experience, with a significant focus on designing for animation (both animated explainers and motion graphics) and live-action storyboarding.
  • A strong ability to conceptualize innovative design solutions and think big-picture about visual strategy.
  • Proven experience working on live-action productions, including direct experience with on-set creative direction.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects - understanding of design hand-off). Figma / Sketch experience is a plus.
  • BONUS POINTS : Solid understanding of After Effects and animation project production.
  • A robust and compelling portfolio showcasing your design work for animation (style frames, character design, background art, camera movement and transitions), storyboarding, and strong conceptual abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and articulate design rationale clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced agency setting.
