Correctional / Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric–Mental Health (Region 1)

Pay Rate : $80 / hr

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Location : Toledo, OH

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Correctional / Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric–Mental Health will provide comprehensive on-site psychiatric care to the male population within a state correctional facility. The role supports mental health stabilization, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychiatric management while working collaboratively with facility staff and medical leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide on-site psychiatric and mental health services to incarcerated adult males.
  • Deliver care as a licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric conditions following state and facility guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with correctional facility staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Complete all credentialing tasks and submit required clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a full-time schedule with some flexibility in shift timing.

CRITICAL INFORMATION

  • Full-time position.
  • No nights, weekends, or holidays required.
  • On-site interview is mandatory.

    • EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Active Ohio Nursing License.
  • BLS / CPR certification (healthcare-provider level).
  • Board Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
  • DEA Certification.
