Job description$7,500.00 - 1+ years of experience (2-year commitment) Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, subcutaneous (SQ), and intramuscular (IM). Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Document all activities / interventions, patient / family responses, medication dispensed / prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice / instructions. Complete and submit prior authorization paperwork for medications, procedures, and referrals in accordance with insurance requirements. Manage incoming and outgoing patient phone calls, addressing clinical questions, relaying provider instructions, and coordinating follow-up care. Monitor and respond to task basket messages in the electronic medical record system, ensuring timely resolution of patient and provider requests. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Comply with all policies and procedures. Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
UPMC is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient Family Medicine and Pediatrics office on Pine Street in Williamsport. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, with Saturday mornings covered on a rotation by all office staff. A typical Monday - Friday work week consists of 4 day shifts (as scheduled between 7 : 00am - 5 : 00pm) and 1 evening shift (10 : 00am - 7 : 00pm). When scheduled to cover Saturday morning (4hrs : 8 : 00am - 12 : 00pm) you will have a half day during the week.
