About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Sales for Logistics Services to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the logistics services sales channel, achieving annual revenue and sales objectives, and expanding their own book of business. This role requires the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy, the definition and implementation of tactical plans for targeted industries, and the management of a high-performing business development team. The VP will also provide strategic oversight in the development of responses to RFPS, ensure the company's value propositions are effectively communicated, and stay abreast of market trends to keep service offerings relevant and competitively priced. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 10 years in sales management, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Deep industry knowledge and a strong network of contacts are highly preferred. The role demands excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and analytical skills, as well as exceptional negotiation and contract management abilities. The VP of Sales will be expected to be results-oriented, with a willingness to travel as necessary to foster and maintain business relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are also required.
