- 2 years of Telemetry experience required
- Experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center preferred
- Experience with EPIC charting required
Description :
The role requires no requested time off during the contract.
This position offers a full-time commitment with a schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week.
The unit is a general medical surgical and telemetry unit that also accommodates orthopedic patients.
Patients cared for may include those with total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.
Patient ratios are 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night, though they may increase under rare circumstances.
The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, vital checks, and laboratory work with support from care techs and other clinicians.
Floating to meet facility needs may be required, and RNs may be assigned to various units as necessary.
This is a nicotine-free facility.
Four weekend shifts are required out of eight possible in a four-week period, covering both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Knowledge and competency in managing various drips are necessary, as well as other nursing skills.
Medical Surgical nursing units allow for up to two weeks of requested time off.
Compliance documents must be submitted by the specified deadline prior to the start date.
Travelers must go into labs within 48 to 72 hours from accepting the offer.
All contracts must end on a Sunday to comply with operational requirements.
