Oxford Financial Group is seeking Managing Directors in our Indianapolis market. Successful candidates will generate new clients through business development activities and provide excellent client service for established Oxford CIO clients.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Leads client engagements and delivers effective and appropriate investment advice.
- Serves as lead relationship manager to clients or as a co-lead relationship manager for clients with another Managing Director
- Serves as back-up MD to relationship manager when needed
- Communicates with client in a clear and timely manner
- Listens well to client issues and complaints; follows up appropriately
- Maintains professional credentials and develops individual technical knowledge
- Proactively communicates, educates and builds consensus about investments appropriate for clients to consider
- Understands client goals / objectives, time frames and risk tolerances
- Assists in implementation of techniques with clients and advisors
- Meets with clients regularly
- Understands Oxford's FOS and TCO offerings and effectively integrates them into solutions
Responsible for highly organized practice management activities
Prepares meeting agendas and reviews meeting files prior to client meetingReturns client phone calls / emails within 24 hoursManages client meeting follow-up letters and oversees delegation within the groupReviews client deliverables for accuracy, timelines and appearanceMasters the Oxford WayEstablishes spirit of teamwork and respect with operational teams within the firmManages and prioritizes workloadEnters time accurately and consistently in TimeTracker systemManages billings with client according to proceduresAttends CIO MD meetings and Joint MD meetings regularlyGrows the Oxford client base through strategic and consistent business development

Pursues new client leads locally and in assigned marketsExecutes Oxford's formal practice development strategy and processCommunicates OFG / TCO story to prospects and advisorsIdentifies opportunities for referrals to OFGDevelops strong relationships with client advisorsCreates, implements and updates individual business development planParticipates in Practice Management meetings and training programsWorks closely with the Chief Practice Development Officer on new opportunitiesMakes joint calls with OFG personnelPerforms other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or master's degree in Business or related field and CFA certification preferredMinimum of ten years' experience in financial services industry with direct client responsibilityMust have a strong working knowledge of investment consulting and high net worth wealth planning techniquesProven track record of consistent business developmentMust have a professional demeanor with the utmost respect for confidential mattersMust be able to work independently and in a team environmentMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skillsMust be detail oriented with excellent organizational skillsMust have ability to multi-taskMust have ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environmentMust have strong work ethic with a positive attitudeWorking Conditions :
