Job description

Job Description :

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, assisting patients who visit for routine health needs or important diagnostic testing.
  • The PSR II collects high-quality blood samples and prepares specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
  • This role requires strong patient interaction skills to create an atmosphere of trust, explain procedures clearly, and perform blood draws safely and accurately.
  • ssignments may include working in a doctor's office, a patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain signatures to confirm proper labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.

    • Requirement / Must Have :

  • bility to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • bility to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong adherence to company policies, safety standards, and dress code.
  • Good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (clean driving record if applicable).

    • Qualification and Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in certain states).

    • Experience :

  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience working in a Patient Service Center preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
  • Keyboard / data entry experience.
