DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Keystone Intern, you will serve as a learning professional member of the Landis Valley staff where you will develop knowledge of the site's governance, interpretation, collections, museum program, and administrative operations. Your work week will be divided into two different areas of Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum's operations including the museum collection and public programming. Work involves curatorial work, historic interpretation and visitor services, collections management, and museum education. You will have the opportunity to design a small exhibit and learn a folk craft during your internship of choice. This may include hearth cooking, tinsmith, leather work, blacksmithing, and more. You will also be responsible for assisting in the execution of the museum's annual Civil War Days event in July.
