Overview
As an Accounting Advisory Manager, you will be responsible for teams that consult with clients on complex accounting transactions. You will help clients address their transactional, regulatory, and strategic needs — all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. More specifically, support on complex accounting matters arising from regulatory or strategic business changes such as adoption of new accounting standards, accounting framework conversions, IPO or other public offering assistance and on-call accounting advice, among others. You’ll build relationships with clients and your project teams, and engage client stakeholders to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice because together is how we succeed.

Your day-to-day
- Leading multiple engagements and consult on complex accounting transactions
- Consult on technical accounting matters including adoption of new accounting standards, preparing technical accounting positions, and providing support around transaction audit review
- Provide transaction accounting support for transactions including business combinations, carve-outs and initial public offerings
- Preparation of financial statements and SEC filings including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks and preparation of pro-forma financial views
- Assisting clients in getting ready for first time audits or providing audit readiness support
- Provide on-call assistance
- Ensuring work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identifying market trends in order to be a proactive problem solver and sought-after adviser to clients and colleagues
- Training and supervising less experienced colleagues and providing consistent, regular feedback

- Representing the company at recruiting and professional networking events
- Building your technical and professional skills through formal training
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines required; Master’s degree a plusMinimum 5 years of experience in providing financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting / finance center of excellence experience focusing on complex accounting transactionsAn active CPA license is requiredWorking knowledge in : Accounting standards including ASC 606 and / or ASC 842, Complex debt, equity, and employee compensation topics, Audit readiness support, IPO process or other capital transactions such as debt offerings or private placements, Organizational restructuring including acquisitions, carve-outs, or spin-offs and post-deal accounting, GAAP conversations, Financial instrumentsAnalytical and technical skills including proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules and standards, accounting transactions, or mergers and acquisition servicesAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing prioritiesValue teamwork, are agile, and know the power of building strong relationshipsSkilled at leading, influencing, and motivating colleaguesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 30%Salary
The base salary ranges for this position vary by location :
New York and Boston, MA : $121,000 – $181,400Chicago, IL : $112,000 – $168,000San Francisco and San Jose : $128,800 – $193,200About Us
