Job description

Job Description and Duties

The Position is headquartered in Sacramento.

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of the Home and Community Living Division, the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator is independently responsible for learning management system setup, software management, content development, and training facilitation. The LMS administrator will consult with departmental managers and supervisors, supporting DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives, and performing other special projects. This position will provide recommendations on learning and development best practices, training program procedure and processes, and training course development, including adult learning concepts and effective training methodologies and systems that support training efforts. The incumbent is responsible for formatting presentations to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. This position requires a high level of interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, and independence of action in carrying out the responsibilities.

Working Conditions

This position is hybrid and eligible for telework up to three days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed / required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

The physical work location of the position is designated at the department's headquarters location, a three-story building and standard office modular workspace located in Natomas. The duties of the position require sitting for long periods of time while using a personal computer, reviewing documents, and attending meetings whether they are digital (i.e., Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.) or in person.

Special Requirements

This position is designated under the . The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
