Location Profile :

Headquartered in Irvine CA Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly structural assembly rotor blade attachment and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining CNC Waterjet Cutting Laser Marking Heat Treating NDT and EDM.

Position Summary :

Under minimal supervision the Tapping Machine Operator performs various manufacturing operations and miscellaneous tasks requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with hand tools. Receives detailed instructions as to manufacturing requirements and exact procedures to be followed. Operates a variety of production equipment which may include coining machines notching press clear tab punch press broaching machine and stud welding machines.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Operates machines such as small presses or broaching machines to serrate lockrings studs and inserts.
• Verifies part quality through visual inspection and using micrometers and calipers.
• Cleans and moves parts between operations.
• Performs sanding deburring etc. as needed.
• May also operate automated assembly machines.
• Handles small parts which requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• May also operate equipment that requires the individual to sit and / or stand for prolonged periods of time.
