Job description

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR Scrub RN for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift : 12 hours, flexible

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document).
  • Deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care aligned with unit protocols / standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments per provider orders / standing protocols and document per policy.
  • Coordinate care collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, techs, patients, and families.
  • Identify and support patient / family education and discharge needs throughout care.
  • Supervise and support LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Maintain age / population-specific competencies and required unit education.

    • Schedule Notes

  • Must hold prior Charge RN experience.

    • Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years current large OR experience
  • Must be able to scrub
  • Proven team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced OR
  • Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment

    • Preferred Skills

  • Epic experience preferred (training available onsite)
  • Ortho, EENT , and / or vascular case experience a plus

    • Education

  • ADN or ASN required
  • (No additional preferred education listed)

    • Licensure & Certifications

  • New Mexico RN license or Compact RN license required
  • BLS required
  • BLS / ACLS / PALS must be through AHA, American Health & Safety, or American Red Cross
  • Preferred : ACLS, PALS
