POSITION OVERVIEW :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide nursing coverage for staff nurse absences, field trips, health screenings or professional development days.
Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis.
Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury.
Administer medications as needed.
Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.
Communicate with parents, faculty / staff, and healthcare providers as needed.
Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and / or the Director of Nursing
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED :
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- Current certification in CPR / AED and First Aid.
- Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED :
TERMS : Three paid days of orientation, $140.00 per diem rate, the school day is 6.5 hours.
