Job Description

Current staffing : 1 ENT Section Chief, 2 MD’s, 1.5 PA’s, 2 dedicated nursing support staff.

This position will report to the Section Chief of ENT.

• Outpatient clinic.
• Inpatient rounding.
• (119-bed acute care facility)
• Non-Supervisory.

Highlights of this position include :

• Daily schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 am – 3 : 30pm.
• Night and weekend call distributed on an equitable basis with other staff.
• 1 : 3 call coverage (1 call night every 3 nights on average, up to 11 calls nights per month).

Medical personnel have statutory immunity from “individual” malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment; a VA physician cannot be sued in civil court for a malpractice (tort) claim.
