Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Title : Registered Nurse - ICU Location : East Lansing, MI Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM Salary : $75,000 - $125,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role : PMC Med Staff is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the ICU team. As a key member of a highly skilled team, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess, implement, and evaluate complex care plans. You will be responsible for direct patient care, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering a supportive environment for patients and families. Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Assessment & Care Planning : Perform comprehensive assessments upon patient admission, identifying physical, psychological, and social needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments, revising as necessary.
• Critical Care : Monitor patients closely for changes in condition and intervene promptly. Provide life-saving interventions, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Education & Support : Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. Offer emotional and psychological support to both patients and families during critical times.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• Patient Safety & Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety. Monitor equipment, medications, and procedures to prevent errors and complications.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain clear and accurate medical records, documenting patient progress, interventions, and any changes in condition. Ensure effective communication across shifts and with other healthcare providers.
• Emergency Response : Act swiftly in response to patient emergencies, using clinical judgment to perform life-saving procedures and interventions.
• Ongoing Education & Improvement : Participate in continuing education, unit meetings, and hospital-wide committees to stay current with healthcare trends and improve care quality.
