Schedule Details / Additional Information :
Nights with 8 and 12-hour shifts, rotating every third weekend, and participating in holiday rotations.
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll provide compassionate care for a diverse patient population, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Management of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Caring for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .A high volume of patients recovering from cervical and spinal surgeries, along with medical overflow cases.Become part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , where you will gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and advanced care options.

Assess patient needs, plan and implement tailored interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.Recognize changes in patient condition and coordinate appropriate interventions with the healthcare team.Implement safety strategies to enhance patient care and support family education.Coordinate discharge processes with an interdisciplinary team.Continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and participate in initiatives for quality improvement.Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, while assuming a leadership role in the care team.Maintain a culture of safety by identifying and addressing potential safety risks.Engage in ethical decision-making and be a proactive member of the healthcare team.Partake in professional development activities and complete annual competencies timely.Demonstrate the ability to care for patients across the lifespan, understanding age-specific needs.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license from the state where you practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved Nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
