Details / Requirements for Assignment :

Must be Board Certified

Must hold active South Carolina license

24-hour call coverage - Physician will be covering as a urohospitalist

Rounding on inpatients, performing procedures as needed, and responding to consults as called upon

Census for unit usually grows to 20-25 over the weekend, with 15-20 consults each weekend also

Standard urology procedures include : stone care, stents, caths, cystoscopes, torsions (pediatrics included), incidental appendectomy, adrenal surgery, hernia repair, endourology procedures, hand assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy, etc.

MUST be comfortable with trauma / open procedures i.e. gun shot wounds that involves kidneys or testicles, stab wounds, bladder repair, etc.

Facility operates as a level 1 trauma center and is a very busy and large facility

No APP support on weekends
