Accountant Evernorth

Join our dynamic team as an Accountant supporting rebates for Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) where your expertise will drive strategic financial outcomes and support enterprise-wide initiatives. Responsibilities

Drive monthly financial close activities including journal entries accruals and reconciliations for rebate receivables and liabilities.

Evaluate guarantee accruals and reconcile client payments and related balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Support external financial audits and contribute to the timely issuance of SOC 1 reports for GPOs.

Collaborate cross-functionally to research and resolve accounting issues enhancing operational efficiency.

Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives that align with enterprise goals.

Assist in developing and implementing accounting control procedures to strengthen financial governance.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software quickly.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Demonstrated experience in general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.

Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting financial audits and working with cross-functional teams.

Customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
