We have an immediate opening for an Experienced Residential Electrician . You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, as well as electrical components. We work with residential clients, so you must be able to diagnose and repair electrical wiring problems in a variety of homes, such as outlets, lighting, services and panels. Our ideal candidate has at least 5-8 years of full-time electrical experience. In addition to experience, we care immensely about the quality of work you do. At Zanite, the work needs to be done correctly, the first time. You’ll know the job was done right by paying attention to every detail and delivering high-quality workmanship that you are personally proud of. If your work constantly needs to be checked and fixed by a supervisor due to lack of attention to detail, you will not enjoy working at our company. We have high expectations!

We will rely on you to be able to work unsupervised at times, so you need to be able to demonstrate the you can complete the following work on your own :

• Install outlets
• Install lighting fixtures and fans
• Troubleshooting electrical problems onsite that need replacement or repair; ensuring that the electrical system is working properly before leaving the client’s home
• Piping and pulling wires; ensuring piping complies with electrical codes
• Whole house rewiring; pulling old cloth wire and replacing with new wires
• Able to work with conduit and Romex
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment

Requirements

We are headquartered in the south suburbs of Chicago. An ideal candidate will be able to easily commute to job sites throughout Chicago, particularly the south side, west side, and south suburbs of Chicago.
