Orientation and Mobility Specialist - Dallas, TX
Contract : 36 Weeks | Compensation : Up to $63 / hr (Based on Experience)
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm specializing in Healthcare and Educational Services, is seeking a passionate and experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our trusted Educational Services partner near Dallas, TX . This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in developing the critical skills needed for independence and safe travel in school and community settings.
Job Description :
- Provide one-on-one and group orientation and mobility instruction to students with visual impairments
- Assess students' abilities and develop individualized instructional plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and safety
- Utilize appropriate tools and adaptive technologies to enhance student learning and navigation
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
