IT Manager
Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the IT Manager is responsible for leading the Veterans Inc. IT department and MSP. This position is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our technology systems. This position is a hands-on role, with the ideal candidate acting as a technical leader.
What Youll Be Responsible For Day To Day :
- Oversee business-critical IT tasks and systems administration including Checkpoint Harmony, Clarity Human Services, SmartDeploy, Meraki MDM and UniFi, Azure Active Directory and Office 365, Connect Wise, CCTV platforms, and T-mobile cellular services.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, landline phones, mobile devices, software, and peripheral hardware via phone, email, chat, and in person.
- Ensure timely application of system updates, antivirus definitions, and security patches.
- Uphold cybersecurity best practices, promote staff awareness through training, and report potential vulnerabilities or incidents.
- Manage staff training and documentation on hardware, software, cybersecurity hygiene, and IT tools.
- Manage the development of the strategic IT Plan, annual budget while ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Lead for all outsourced Information Technology needs (Internet Service Providers, Phone Systems and Mobile Devices).
- Monitor IT ticketing system and distribute tickets submitted by users throughout the organization.
- Manage and maintain IT documentation and IT infrastructure.
- Manage IT Staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for use of technology systems.
- Manage all technical emergencies, data breaches, crises, and cyber-attacks.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure the best-possible service and value for business needs.
- Lead for organizational events as well as special IT Projects that arise.
What You Must Have :
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or similar field required.5 or more years of IT experience required.3 or more years of managing a team of technical staff required.Frequent travel is required.Must have a valid drivers license and own personal, reliable transportation.Must be able to successfully pass a CORI / Background records check.Compliance with Veterans Inc.
