Job Description

Are you passionate about diagnosing and treating digestive disorders? Opelousas General Health System  is seeking a dedicated   Full-Time   Gastroenterologist  to join our skilled team. Residents / Fellows are encouraged to apply early!

Employed Physician Incentives :

  • Malpractice- Paid by Hospital
  • CME Allowance ($4,000 / year)
  • 30 Days of Paid Time Off, 5 days of Extended Illness Time and 5 CME days per year
  • Retirement 3 components

457b-tax deferred

  • Social Security Replacement (7.65% of Physician's Salary)
  • Hospital Contributes 5% of Physician's Salary into Retirement Account
  • Health Benefits- 1st of the month following start date.

    • Position Highlights

  • Focus on general Gastroenterology; ERCP required
  • Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 8 : 00am- 5 : 00pm, with a half day on Friday
  • Will support J1 Visa candidates
  • Strong support from collaborative specialties such as general surgery
  • Hospitalists onsite
