Under general supervision, performs accounting clerical orbookkeeping tasks to support accounts payable / receivable, and / or otheraccounting related functions. Postsjournal entries, processes payments or deposits, and verifies accuracy of data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); twoyears' prior experience as a Dental Assistant. Related education may be substituted for experience on a year for yearbasis.

OTHER :

Employees in this job class must be CPR certified and are obligated to meet and maintain Maryland State Radiology License,National Certification, and Maryland State requirements for dental assistingand dental radiography . Dental Assistant will also be required to bemedically fit tested to wear N9 mask.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Thorough knowledge of the principles of dental assistingtheory, technique, and practice. Skill in procedures using sit-downfour-handed dentistry techniques . Skill in the use of dental instrumentsand equipment. Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment.Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively orally andin writing.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Employeesin this job class may be required to receive immunization shots to preventillness due to exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Overtime may be required.
