Account Executive, Life Sciences

We are seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to join our esteemed Life Sciences team at Lionbridge, focusing on the Medical Device Sector. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for independently engaging with prospective clients within assigned accounts to present Lionbridge's innovative solutions tailored to the medical device sector. Your primary objective will be to maintain a robust and up-to-date pipeline, identifying existing and upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth within this specialized industry.

You will ensure a tailored approach to presenting solutions that meet the unique requirements of our Med Device customers. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs, effective communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding revenue quotas within the medical device sector.

What You Will Do
  • Develop & Expand Relationships: Own and grow relationships across a diverse portfolio of life sciences clients, serving as a trusted advisor for global content, translation, and digital solutions.
  • Prospect Within Accounts: Identify and engage new stakeholders and buyers to expand wallet share and support multi-year growth goals.
  • Tailor Client Solutions: Conduct deep discovery and needs assessments to craft proposals that solve client-specific challenges in areas such as clinical development, regulatory submissions, labeling, and product launches.
  • Drive Pipeline & Revenue: Maintain a healthy pipeline of new and upsell opportunities; manage the sales process from initial outreach through negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work closely with cross-functional teams-including Solutions, Operations, and Project Management-to ensure flawless delivery and long-term client success.
  • Stay Industry-Smart: Monitor changes in the life sciences landscape, regulations, and industry innovations to bring fresh ideas and relevant insights to your clients.
  • Represent the Brand: Serve as a Lionbridge ambassador in every interaction-online, in-person, and at industry events-presenting with clarity, confidence, and credibility.


To Be Successful You Will Have
  • 4+ years of Sales Experience: Proven track record in B2B sales or account management, ideally within the life sciences sector (pharma, biotech, medtech, or healthcare).
  • Revenue Ownership: History of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and delivering growth within a defined territory or account list.
  • Pharma Insight: Strong understanding of the life sciences content lifecycle, including regulatory constraints, multilingual requirements, and digital transformation trends.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish trust and credibility with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sales Strategy: Skilled in qualifying opportunities, presenting solutions, negotiating pricing, and closing deals.
  • CRM Proficiency: Familiar with Salesforce or other CRM tools to manage pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • Agility & Drive: Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Strong internal collaboration skills to drive aligned, client-centered outcomes across departments.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; life sciences background or advanced degree is a plus.
