Pay Information $2,848 per week About The Position Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : ICU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years required License : Valid state nursing license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH required Must-Have : Medical Intensive Care Unit experience Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure Obtaining a 12 lead EKG / ECG Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP) experience Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz monitoring experience Chronic / Acute Renal failure management experience Arterial line management experience Blood Product Administration experience Central line care / management experience PICC line management experience Starting and maintaining IVs experience Continuous IV sedation experience Emergency medications knowledge Titrating cardiac drips knowledge Titrating vasoactive drips knowledge CVA / Acute Stroke management experience Assisting with BiPAP management experience Care of ventilated patients experience Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) Suctioning (ETT, NT) experience Ventilator management experience Infection prevention experience Isolation precautions and use of PPE knowledge Phlebotomy experience Surgical wounds with drains / Wound Vac experience Description : Accepting both 13 and 26-week contracts. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Ratio : 1 : 2. First-timers are not accepted. Weekend requirements : Every other weekend. Clinician will float within service line to ICU units. No on-call requirement. Patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, ARDS, acute chest pain, cardiac arrest, DKA, multi-organ failure, and sepsis. Unit details include pre and post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries, as well as medicine and neuro-medicine overflow. Special equipment includes IV pumps, CRRT, dialysis, ventilators, BiPAP, hemodynamic monitoring, and defibrillators. Daily census in the unit is variable. Interdisciplinary support includes therapy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.
