Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of design principles, trends, and the product lifecycle. This role involves conceptualizing and creating unique clothing designs that resonate with our target audience while ensuring high-quality garment construction.

Duties

Develop original clothing designs from concept to final product, ensuring alignment with brand identity.

Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, to create detailed design sketches and technical specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, and production to ensure designs meet market needs and production capabilities.

Conduct research on fashion trends, color theory, and materials to inform design decisions.

Manage the product lifecycle from initial concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery of collections.

Oversee garment construction processes, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production phase.

Engage in fashion styling for photoshoots and promotional materials to showcase designs effectively.

Create illustrations and technical drawings for presentations and documentation purposes.

Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor offerings to inform future collections.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and CAD software is essential.

Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation.

Experience in fashion retail or merchandising is preferred.

Knowledge of graphic design principles and color theory is beneficial.

Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes is a plus.

Background in theater or performance arts can enhance creative design perspectives.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
