Job descriptionStart Pay : Detention, breakdown, and layover pay available when needed Company sponsored per diem program Home Weekly - predictable time off every week Dispatch Days : Drivers are dispatched on either Sunday or Monday If dispatched on Monday - off Saturday and Sunday Routes will vary weekly based on customer needs Driver will be domiciled at the customer's location in Evansville, IN Hauling metal and plastic barrels to customer locations in : Missouri, Iowa, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maine, Indiana, and Nebraska Average 3,000 miles per week No loading or unloading - all drop and hook Paid time off including 8 paid holidays Health Insurance : Medical, dental, vision and hearing coverage starting as low as $38.25 / week (individual) and $101.10 / week (family) after 30 days Rider policy for legally married spouses Profit Sharing : Monthly direct deposits into your retirement account Referral rewards : Cash bonuses for referrals Career Growth : Opportunities for local, regional, and leadership roles within Averitt Must live within a 100-mile radius Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years Must be 21 years of age or older Must hold a valid Class A CDL No reckless driving convictions in the last 5 years No DUI convictions in the last 5 years No license suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years No serious moving violations in the last 12 months (e.g., 15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, fatal accidents involving a CMV) No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years Load freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs Unload freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs Move freight - force requirement : 54 lbs Open / Close Trailer Doors - force requirement : 46 lbs Count freight Complete fuel tickets Obtain sales leads Hook / Unhook trailer - force requirement : 90 lbs (Class A Only) Perform pre-trip inspections Drive Regular predictable attendance Enter / Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle Enter / Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
