Position Description

  • This position is contingent on contract award. Multiple locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

  • Acts as the overall communications architect and network team manager for the MTC.
  • Design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified MTC networks, both WAN and LAN, that support voice, data, and video services for exercises and events.
  • Manages MTC integration and use of networks owned and managed by external organizations, including NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIXS, tactical networks, and other networks as required.
  • Coordinates network design, requirements, and responsibilities with other MTCs and training sites, training units, and external network and communications organizations.
  • Design and establish network architecture, coordinate network plans, configure network equipment, and assist in installing equipment and circuits in support of distributed events and exercises.

    • Position Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in network architecture design, implementation, and management;
  • possess an advanced knowledge in network planning, troubleshooting and maintenance;
  • advanced knowledge of network hardware and software components;
  • strong understanding of technology integration, information flow, configuration and implementation of LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP; firewalls and security; and storage and backup methodologies.
  • Must understand and be able to apply RMF methodology and the Certification and Accreditation process.
  • Must have experience in applying network patches and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and performing other RMF Cybersecurity tasks.

    • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

    BA / BS degree in Information Technology or related field and IAT Level II and required CE certifications, or DCWF equivalent

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Active Security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
