Unlock your potential at Surgery Center at Coral Spring!\nJob Summary and Qualifications\n\nWe are seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates the values of our company by caring like family. You will be an amazing addition to our team by contributing your expertise in the circulating or scrub role. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care until your patient is transferred from your care to recovery.\n\nWhat you will do in this role : \n
• Evaluate patients prior to surgery\n
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process\n
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification\n
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy\n
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies\n
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives\n
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more\n
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients\n
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly\n
• Educate patients and families / caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures\n\nQualifications you will need : \n
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center\n
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure\n
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment

• ACLS as required by facility\n
• CNOR certification preferred\n\nSurgery Center at Coral Springs serves the residents of Broward County and surrounding areas. We offermany different procedures and over 500 cases a month. We use the Catalys laser for ourophthalmology procedures. Our other specialties are endoscopy, GYN, orthopedic, ENT,podiatry, plastics, and urology. We will be starting a cardiac service line.
