Description :

The Supply Chain Manager enables sales and executes supply chain responsibilities from order to delivery. Responsibilities include end-to-end order management, product supply management, and coordination / execution of order delivery. This includes day-to-day management of relationships with contract manufacturers, transportation service providers, and 3PL warehouses. The position is accountable for the delivery of business / supply chain objectives and interacts with numerous cross-functional team members and external business partners. Strong communication, attention to details, negotiation, and planning skills are essential.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Leads order management and customer logistics for North American and export business.
  • Plans production at contract manufacture(s) based on capacity constraints, lead times and other factors.
  • Manages inbound and outbound ocean freight, customs clearance, duty.
  • Manages 3PL warehouse relationships and performance (capacity, service, cost, and quality).
  • Manages 4PL / Transportation service providers and performance (capacity, service, cost, quality).
  • Utilizes 3rd party and internal platforms (TMS, WMS, ERP) to analyze performance and reduce total supply chain costs.
  • Contributes to functional success by developing, reporting, and maintaining supply chain metrics.
  • Supports the annual budget development for functional responsibilities.
  • Develops and implements sales and supply chain business processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Own, improve, and maintain all finished goods and planning parameters (such as lead time, order quantities and stocking targets) in ERP system to optimize the supply chain, including the utilization of MRP within the ERP.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and verify quantities on as needed basis to maintain proper stock levels.
  • Work with Contract Manufacturers, Transportation Service Providers, 3PL, Raw and Pack Vendors, and Accounting to resolve invoice, inventory, and supplier delivery issues.
  • Handles sales claims with partners and customers.
  • Collaborates with European counterparts for cross training and best practice sharing for order management and supply chain processes.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain experience in the food and beverage industry. Previous planning, import / export, and transportation management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business, or a related field.
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office products, including advanced knowledge in Excel with large data sets.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and willing to be very “hands-on” to get the job accomplished.
  • Action-oriented, focused, energy and enthusiasm are critical.
  • Ability to function effectively in an intimate, entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Excellent planner and organizer.
  • Excellent communicator, with an ability to influence at multiple levels across organizations with varying levels of sophistication.
  • Ability to analyze data and complex problems, and make recommendations to all levels of the organization.
