Registered Dietician (RD)

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide services at a Community-based facility in the County of Ontario New York.

The ideal candidates will support older adults through counseling menu planning nutritional assessments program oversight and education.

Requirements :

Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential

Educator Certification

Current New York State license

Atleast 2 years of experience in a community or geriatric setting

Responsibilities :

Offer personalized nutrition guidance to older adults referred by program staff.

Complete intake steps for new participants ensuring all required documents are gathered and finalized.

Record client interactions services and updates in the designated statewide system.

Design seasonal meal plans that meet state nutrition standards for both home-delivered meals and congregate dining programs.

Visit community dining locations to review food quality safety practices and overall program adherence.

Work closely with nutrition program leadership to support site evaluations and service improvements.

Create and lead quarterly training sessions for volunteers on topics such as food handling meal service expectations and senior nutrition basics.

Assist with collecting and reviewing participant feedback to help evaluate program effectiveness.

Follow established procedures for working with clients and safeguarding information.

Carry out additional program-related tasks as needed to support overall operations
