Job Summary :
The Neurologist at Exceed Medical is a certified and licensed physician who independently and collaboratively diagnoses and treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. Responsibilities include assessing mental and physical health, performing medical tests and imaging, analyzing results, and providing accurate diagnoses and treatments for neurological conditions.
Key responsibilities include :
- Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and clinical presentations of neurological conditions.
- Utilizing critical thinking to synthesize and analyze patient data.
- Performing comprehensive or problem-focused histories and physical assessments for adult patients with neurological conditions.
- Counseling patients and families on neurological disorders, causes, and treatments.
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests, including lumbar puncture and EEG interpretation. Neurophysiology or epilepsy fellowship or demonstrated competency is required for EEG reporting.
- Prescribing and managing pharmacologic and other treatment modalities.
- Formulating and implementing outcomes-based treatment plans using evidence-based medicine and standards of care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Initiating consultations and referrals, collaborating with other specialists as needed.
- Maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participating in teaching and training of healthcare providers and students.
- Completing billing documentation accurately and timely.
- Staying current with advancements in neurology.
- Conducting virtual consultations via telehealth, providing accessible neurological care.
- Responding promptly to neurological emergencies, including code stroke activations, both in-person and via telehealth.
- Evaluating and treating telemedicine patients, ensuring care standards are maintained.
- Guiding patients on telehealth technology use and ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Documenting telehealth visits accurately, collaborating virtually with the care team, and monitoring service efficacy.
- Participating in the development of telehealth protocols and best practices.
Job Requirements :
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Neurology.Active, unrestricted medical license in the practice state.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.Commitment to ongoing professional development in neurology.What we offer :
