Associate Sterile Processing Technician FT Evening

Associate Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission-Laguna Beach Hospital in Laguna Beach, CA. This position is Full- time and will work 8-hour, Evening shifts.

Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory.

High Level Disinfection : Under the immediate supervision of the High-level disinfection supervisor, the technician processes all fiber-optic endoscopes, video endoscopes, Endocavity probes, TEE probes, and all other equipment requiring high-level disinfection utilized by the operating room and ancillary departments.

Performs daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization, and all associated documentation. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications :

• Within 1 year of hire : National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Within 1 year of hire : National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
