PROJECT MANAGER I
The ADMS Program, within the Power Grid Operations organization, has an immediate need for a Project Manager I (PM I). This PM i position will have responsibility for managing and / or supporting multi-jurisdictional software and hardware projects in Midwest, Carolinas, and Florida jurisdictions. Projects include the deployment of OMS, DMS, SCADA, and Advanced Apps products, including how they integrate with the broader ADMS platform and other supporting applications
The Project Manager I position will serve under the general direction of the PMO Manager or Senior PM. The PM-I position is responsible for management, or supporting management, of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met. These include but are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.
The position is accountable for a portfolio of assigned ADMS projects with Low to Moderate levels of risk that impact various levels of the Company, Senior Management or External Agencies. PM-I's may be assigned projects with specific risk-informed requirements based on specific experience and skill sets.
PM-I's serve as unifying agents providing leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and governance.
Basic / Required Qualifications :
Project Management competency in progressively increasing levels of responsibility in Application Development solution delivery.
Bachelors degree (BS) in Project Management, Computer Science, Business (MIS) or related discipline; OR 9 years of work related experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience managing highly complex projects with a broad range of cost management from $5-$25+ million budgets, with multi-year schedules.
Ability to effectively communicate project status to multiple levels of upper management and stakeholders
Must be able to :
o Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed project environment
o Drive team leads to focus on priority work and deliver to schedule
o Facilitate working sessions to drive objectives to completion in a diverse team
o Recognize and raise awareness of emerging critical issues to mitigate early
o Understand role boundaries and authority levels among IT and Business resources to facilitate timely project decisions
o Use and continually develop leadership skills
o Operate independently within defined boundaries to achieve assigned objectives
Desired Qualifications :
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Agile Project Delivery Approach / Scrum Coach / Scrum Master experience, CSM certification preferred.
Ability to manage resolution of complex issues ranging from technology to vendor to business issues.
Demonstrated application of process improvement skills and methodology.
Proficiency in MS Project Server 2010, MS Office, and Visio.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal, human relations and communications skills to work effectively with customers, peers, direct reports, and management.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications.
Demonstrated collaboration skills to foster effective working relationships with the team and customers.
Demonstrated leadership skills to establish and maintain a motivated and productive project team.
Previous Utility Experience within the client.
